The math · 25% off, every meal

You already pay for it.Just not to the right place.

The maths on a Lagos dining membership are not subtle. We took two honest profiles — someone who cooks at home and a young professional who dines out four nights a week — and ran them through the 25% member rate. The ₦25,000 Founder fee paid itself back in a single week for one of them and just over a fortnight for the other.

Break-even

5 meals pays back the ₦25,000 Founder fee. Roughly 2.5 weeks of your normal dining.

Break-even

The first five meals are the whole game.

At ₦25,000 a year and a 25% member rate on a typical mid-tier Lagos dinner, your founder fee is paid back inside the first month. Every meal after that is your own money kept in your pocket.

  • Home Cook: 5 meals → break-even. About a fortnight of normal dining.
  • Frequent Diner: 6 meals → break-even. Roughly the first week.
  • After that: the rest of the year is pure saving. No upsells, no renewal price hike for founders, ever.

Quick answers

The honest small print.

What if I only eat out once a fortnight?
Even at one mid-tier dinner every other week, your ₦25,000 founder fee is paid back inside three months and you're saving roughly ₦40,000 a year on top. The break-even is 5 meals — that's the floor.
What about drinks?
The standard 25% rate applies to the food bill, not drinks. We do that deliberately so venues can keep their wine programme and we don't lean on alcohol margins. A handful of bars run a separate 50% Happy Hour rate for members.
Are these numbers real or aspirational?
They're real. The cost bands above are pulled from actual menu prices at Nok by Alara, Yellow Chilli, RSVP, Z Kitchen, Shiro, and Sheraton Lagos as of April 2026. The ₦42,000 average member cover figure on our partner page is the median paid bill, not a marketing number.
Is the founder rate really locked forever?
Yes. Founders pay ₦25,000 every year, indefinitely, as long as they renew. Launch Year tier (₦60,000) and Regular tier (₦120,000) come later for everyone else.
